Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer-02, shown attached to the International Space Station, is a particle physics detector that collects information from cosmic sources that will help to advance scientists’ knowledge about the low Earth orbit space radiation environment.
AMS-02 will use the unique environment of space to study the universe and its origin by searching for dark matter while performing precision measurements of cosmic rays composition and flux.
