Power Droids Arrive at Desert RATS
Both Power Droids are now in place at NASA’s Desert RATS and are generating (and storing) power.
As noted last week (See “Power Droids at Desert RATS“) Green Trail Energy has partnered with the Challenger Center for Space Science Education to provide logistical and technical support for Education and Public Outreach (EPO) to be done at NASA’s annual Desert RATS activity in Arizona this month. Both the larger GSW7000 portable power system aka the “Power Droid” and a smaller Solar power/ communications trailer (the mini-Power Droid) arrived in Flagstaff today and ready for operations.
Additional deployment photos of both droids below.

Smaller 1 kW solar power trailer (mini-Power Droid) fully deployed earlier this year at another location. with This trailer has satellite communications, WiFi routers, server, and office space for us to work inside.
The mini-Power Droid trailer, sitting in front of the larger Power Droid at Desert RATS, is towed by regular pick-up truck to the location where it is needed.
