NASA Fakery – How the Space Agency Responds to Misleading Space Images
An image of the Martian landscape captured by Perseverance stitched together with the night sky as seen from Earth.
Image credit: NASA and Hugh Hou.

The image is gorgeous. A 360-degree view panorama showing the Perseverance Rover on a dry Martian plain full of rocks and dust with mountains in the distance. Overhead, a dramatic, oversaturated, and dark sky shines with thousands of stars and a Milky Way arching across from horizon to horizon.

Unfortunately, it’s a fake.
