Mojave Crater

Mojave Crater has long been a favorite to image with its gorgeous sedimentary and possibly fluvial fans. There is evidence in and surrounding the crater that rain may have fallen here in Mars’ past. Rain is considered to have been exceedingly rare in Martian history, though a local rain event could have been caused by the heat of the impact that formed Mojave Crater. Our goal is to monitor for any changes.
