IMG Update: New Ropes and Clean Up on the Lhotse Face

May 3, 2009 – The weather was fairly grim today — wind and snow, so not much in the way of progress on the mountain. Greg, Justin, Phillipe, and the two Daves are at C2. Sherpas took a rest today, and tomorrow we have a big push scheduled for the South Col coinciding with the start of the fixing above the Col. Mingma Tenzing and Panuru will be leaving C2 at 2am for the Col, with the plan to go fix to the Balcony along with one AAI sherpa and two from Himex. Hopefully the weather will cooperate!
