Uranus is a strange world, tantalizing for planetary scientists. The ringed ice giant spins on its side relative to the axes of the other planets in the solar system, and its magnetic field is offset from its geographic poles by 60 degrees. Its 27 moons could offer all kinds of surprises, including liquid water environments that could play host to forms of alien life.
