This observation is a re-imaging of a previous HiRISE picture we obtained in 2016 to measure dune mobility.

This is a remarkable and rare example of ice-dune interaction, which can be seen as a modern analogue of the burial of the windblown steep-sided depressions under the North Polar layered deposits.
