A Pit In A Martian Crater Floor
This apparent collapse pit occurs within the floor of a much larger crater in the Southern Highlands of Mars. The lozenge shaped pit has sharp edges, and a small crater at one end. Intriguingly, the floor of the pit is not covered by wind-blown deposits. Questions remain about the origins of this feature.
