The prominent feature in this observation might either be an ancient fan, or perhaps the result of more recent recurring slope lineae. It could also be a potential future exploration site for a Mars Science Helicopter! With stereo, we can determine if the fan formed from debris flows vs fluvial processes, in addition to looking for hazards like boulders for a future Mars helicopter.
