For scientists, parts of the Moon’s Tycho crater remain a mystery.
It’s around 100 million years old, which is young in geologic time. Here, the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter Camera captured the central peak with a 120 meter-wide boulder at the summit – the origins of which are unknown.
