Video: Rosetta Mission Comes to an End and Science Highlights
The Rosetta mission came to an end today with the orbiter purposefully “crash” landing (softly) on the Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko just as the Philae lander had done previously.
Coverage of the Rosetta end of mission event was held at ESA’s European Space Operations Centre in Darmstadt, Germany on 30 September. It featured commentary from mission experts and reactions from the main control room as Rosetta sent its last signal from Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko, confirming the end of the spacecraft’s 12.5 year journey in space.
