Soyuz-Fregat Completes Second Successful Flight

Today at 1:28 EST the Soyuz-Fregat flight successfully reached orbit. Flight ST 08’s payload was a “Dumsat”, a metallic cylindrical structure with the same mass and volume as the two Cluster II satellites to be carried by Soyuz-Fregat launchers later this year. Dumsat is equipped with sensors and flux meters, and provided detailed information on the ride it experiences from liftoff through injection into orbit.
