Eric Sterner To Be Named as NASA Associate Deputy Administrator for Policy and Plans

According to a widely circulated email, and multiple NASA sources, Eric Sterner will be departing his staff position at the House Armed Services Committee to assume the position of Associate Deputy Administrator for Policy and Plans at NASA Headquarters.
Prior to his position with the Armed Services Committee, Sterner worked at the Pentagon for several years. Prior to that he was Majority Staff Director for the House Science Committee’s Subcommittee on Space and Aeronautics, having replaced Shana Dale who left that position to move to OSTP.
Sterner will report directly to Dale who is now NASA’s Deputy Administrator.
Sterner begins this new job on Monday, 20 March.
