Canadian Space Agency Hosts the 3rd Canadian Space Exploration Workshop

Between May 24-26 the Canadian Space Agency will host the 3rd Canadian Space Exploration workshop. The purpose of the workshop is to a develop a vision for Canadian involvement in national and international space exploration missions and to identify the key technologies required in order to successfully achieve these scientific goals.

While Canada has been at the forefront of space science since 1962 with the launch of the Aloutette satellite, it is only recently that the CSA has budgeted any funds towards space exploration.

The participants of this workshop will have a hand in shaping the future of the CSA’s space exploration program. Upcoming CSA space exploration activities include the development of scientific instruments for the Next Generation Space Telescope (NGST) and the Microvariability and Oscillations of Stars (MOST) micro-satellite.
