VOYAGER MISSION OPERATIONS STATUS REPORT #1136, AUGUST 5 ñ AUGUST 11, 2000

COMMAND TRANSMISSION & VERIFICATION OPERATIONS

Voyager 1 command operations consisted of the uplink of a command loss timer reset on 08/09 [DOY 222/2100z]. The spacecraft received the command.

Voyager 2 command operations consisted of the uplink of ten command loss timer resets on 08/10 [DOY 223/1742z] over DSS-34. The spacecraft received two commands of the ten sent. In addition seven bracketed command loss timer resets, sent on five-minute centers using 0.5 Hz steps, were transmitted on 08/11 [DOY 2224/1542z] over DSS-43. The spacecraft received commands three through six of the seven bracketed commands sent.

SEQUENCE GENERATION OPERATIONS

No sequence development activity during this report period.

DATA RETURN OPERATIONS

Voyager 1 Data Processing and Operations:

There were 118.8 hours of DSN scheduled support for Voyager 1 of which 81.8 hours were large aperture coverage. There were no real-time or schedule support changes made or significant outages during the period.

Science instrument performance was nominal for all activities during this period. One frame of GS-4 data was recorded this week. The EDR backlog is 2 days.

Voyager 2 Data Processing and Operations:

There were 84.6 hours of DSN scheduled support for Voyager 2 of which 20.4 hours were large aperture coverage. There were no real-time or schedule support changes during the period.

There was one significant outage of 2.5 hours of degraded data on 08/08 [DOY 221] due to rain at DSS-45 [DR A04762].

Science instrument performance was nominal for all activities during this period. One frame of GS-4 data was recorded this week. The PRA receiver recovered from its 73rd POR event, which occurred on August 9, between station DSS 45 and station DSS 43. The EDR backlog is 2 days.

FLIGHT SYSTEM PERFORMANCE

Voyager 1 performance was nominal during this report period.

Voyager 2 performance was nominal during this report period.
