Five days before the launch of Venus Express, this Video News Release provides a concise answer to why Europe will be studying the “shepherd’s star”. Background footage includes 3-D graphics of the spacecraft, video recordings of Venus Express at the Baikonur Cosmodrome, images of Venus from past missions, and soundbites by ESA’s planetary mission coordinator, Marcello Coradini.
