Description

Arcata Associates, Inc. (Arcata/UNITeS), performing under Prime Contract NNM04AA02C, intends to acquire, on a open and competitive basis, a Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) upgrade to the NASA Video Distribution System.    

It is the intent of this solicitation to migrate NASA’s current analog, single channel network to a fully digital multi-channel distribution network.    

This is a turn-key requirement calling for equipment and services to support the installation of a NASA Hub located at NASA HQ, Washington DC, and delivery of new equipment for installation at the remaining NASA Centers.    

The contract will also provide for additional services (enhanced warranty, training) and optional continuation of maintenance services for two (2) additional years. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP).    

Arcata/UNITeS intends to acquire commercial items & services using FAR Part 12.    

Interested firms have twenty (20) days until 30 November 2004, 4:00 PM CT, to submit in writing their proposals to the identified point of contact. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, as proposals are being requested per the attached Cover Letter, Request for Proposal (RFP), and Technical Specification, which are located in the attached WORD files.    

It is the offeror’s responsibility to monitor this Internet site for the release of any amendments, and clarifying questions and answers.
