The Worm is Back: A Discussion with Designer Richard Danne
 
NASA Television will record a conversation and Q&A session with Worm creator Richard Danne. The recording will be posted online, and a NASA INC will go out with a link to the video when it is available for viewing. 
 
NASA employees are invited to submit questions for this event at https://arc.cnf.io/sessions/mc4r/#!/dashboard until 5 p.m. EDT Thursday, Oct. 22.
 
Event Participants
  • Moderator:  Bettina Inclán, Associate Administrator for Communications
  • Richard Danne of the design team of Danne & Blackburn, who originally created NASA’s Worm logotype
  • David Rager, Bert Ulrich and the Worm Working Group
 
Bettina Inclán will begin the program by introducing designer Richard Danne and NASA’s Worm Working Group. Then, the Working Group will share a short presentation on the philosophy of the comeback of the logo led by David Rager and Bert Ulrich. During her discussion with Danne, Inclán will ask about the relevance of the Worm in the 1970s and today, and why the Worm continues to be so popular. She also will ask questions submitted online by NASA employees.
