The Terra spacecraft is in nominal mode. All instruments are functioning in Science Mode.

The ESMOS Project and Terra Flight Operations Team continue planning implementation of the Deep Space Calibration Maneuver(s). Analysis continues factoring in lunar constraints, TDRSS visibility during the 1-3 orbits with the lunar view opportunity, and other issues. Preliminary results suggest a November date would be viable, although the lunar opportunity may be in close proximity to the Leonid meteor shower. It is likely that December dates will be proposed for the maneuver(s). A decision on the dates to propose is expected next week.

A Drag Make-up Maneuver was successfully executed on August 7.

TERRA PLANS:

  • The next MODIS lunar calibration roll maneuver is scheduled for August 27
  • The final Inclination Adjust Maneuver is planned for mid-September
