Submit Session Proposals for Astrobiology Science Conference (AbSciCon) 2021 – Due Date 16 September 2020

The last chance to submit a session proposal for the Astrobiology Science Conference (AbSciCon) 2021 is approaching. AbSciCon is the premier conference for the astrobiology community, and the next edition will be held in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, from May 9-14, 2021. This year’s conference will have a strong virtual component, so attendees can participate online, from anywhere, including onsite in Atlanta.

Session proposal deadline: 16 September 2020 at 11:59 p.m. ET.

In addition to learning, sharing and networking, AbSciCon 2021 will feature many plenary speakers including:

  • Dr. Reva Kay Williams, the first Black female astrophysicist and the first person to successfully work out the Penrose mechanism to extract energy from black holes.
  • Dr. Sian Proctor, a geoscientist, explorer and analog astronaut who has completed four analog missions including all-female SENSORIA Mars 2020 mission
  • Dr. Betül Kaçar, an astrobiologist and evolutionary molecular biologist whose research focuses on origins of life, reconstructing ancient biology, and evolution of proteins over geologic time.
