STS-98 Landing Weather Forecast 16 Feb 2001
KSC Synopsis: A cold front is expected to move through the KSC area late
Saturday and early Sunday. Low clouds, gusty surface winds, and rain will
be associated with this system as it moves southward across Florida. By
landing time weather conditions will improve and be above flight rule limits
but surface winds will remain gusty. High pressure will build in behind
this system on subsequent days. In the west, an upper level low pressure
system and its associated frontal system will approach the Pacific coast and
will produce the likelihood of showers in southern California on Monday.
Conditions will be favorable at the Shuttle Landing Facility and White Sands
all three days.
