Background information on the transmission:
On 12 June 2006, the Crew for the next Shuttle mission, STS-121, will arrive at Cape Canaveral in Florida for the so-called Terminal Countdown Demonstration Test. This is a dress rehearsal by the crew of the final hours and the final countdown towards their launch.
ESA TV provides a live rebroadcast of the NASA-TV live coverage of the crew arrival, when the 7 astronauts, among them ESA’s Thomas Reiter, arrive in small T-38 jets on the Shuttle landing strip.
