Expedition 10 Commander Leroy Chiao and Flight Engineer Salizhan Sharipov began the new week aboard the International Space Station with the resumption of prepacking activities for STS-114’s visit this Spring. They are preparing items for return to Earth aboard Space Shuttle Discovery. STS-114 will be the first Shuttle mission since the loss of Columbia and the STS-107 crew. STS-114 will be the first Shuttle mission to visit the ISS since STS-113 left in December 2002.

In other activities Monday, the crewmembers performed routine maintenance on the Station’s Resistive Exercise Device. They also took inventory of cables and other related equipment.
