Background information on the transmission:
On Thursday 16 January Space Shuttle Columbia will lift off from Cape Canavaral on STS-107.
Over 30 European investigations will be among some 80 experiments covering medicine, advanced technology and science on board the Shuttle. The 16-day research mission with a crew of seven is a ‘dress rehearsal’ for routine research operations on board the International Space Station.
The ESA TV Service turns around the live launch of the Space Shuttle on the satellite coordinates given below. There is currently a launch window of four hours, however the exact launch transmission times will be posted on the ESA TV website as soon as they are available.
