Aboard the International Space Station on Wednesday, Expedition Six Commander Ken Bowersox, Flight Engineer Nikolai Budarin and NASA ISS Science Officer Don Pettit continued to settle into their new home. In preparation for upcoming activities during their tour of duty, they reconfigured the station’s computer network and loaded new software. In other activities, they checked out equipment in the station’s defibrillator and the Human Research Facility rack and performed maintenance on systems in the Russian segment.

The crew that Expedition Six replaced, Expedition Five, had its six-month stay in space extended by at least one more day. Managers waved off Wednesday’s landing opportunities for STS-113 due to unacceptable weather conditions at Kennedy Space Center, Fla. Endeavour’s next opportunity is at 1:54 p.m. CST (1954 GMT) Thursday.
