State Commission meeting to Approve the Soyuz TM-32 Crew

04/27/2000. Baikonur cosmodrome:

At 8 hours 00 minutes Moscow Summer Time the State Commission meeting was held with the aim to approve the following makeup of the Soyuz TM-32 crew: Talgat Musabayev, Commander; Yuri Baturin, Flight Engineer and Dennis Tito, flight participant. The back-up crew: Viktor Afanasiev, Commander; Konstantin Kozeev, Flight Engineer.

Due to the fact that the state of the International Space Station Russian Segment onboard systems enables rendezvous and docking of the space vehicle with the Zvezda Service Module, the Technical Management decided to get down to the irreversible operations of prelaunch processing and launch in support of the earlier fixed launch date scheduled for April 28, 2001 at 11 hours 37 minutes Moscow Summer Time.
