Description

NASA announced selection today of Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) of Falls Church, Va., as the prime contractor to support the NASA Shared Services Center (NSSC).

CSC selected the Stennis Space Center, Miss., as the location for the NSSC. The total value of the contract, including all options, is approximately $230 million over the 10-year performance period. The NSSC will perform a variety of consolidated transactional and administrative activities being done at each NASA center and Headquarters. The mission of the NSSC is to provide high quality, cost-effective, efficient, selective services for human resources, procurement, financial management and information technology operations.

NASA conducted this procurement as an OMB Circular A-76 standard competition using a Tradeoff Source Selection process.

After an integrated assessment of the equally-weighted Mission Suitability and Cost factors, the CSC proposal was determined to represent the best value to NASA.
