Description

NASA Ames Research Center is establishing a Visitor Center with interactive displays and other exhibits focused on the Mars events starting in December 2003 and continuing through June 2004. Our intent is to familiarize the public with all data to date on the planet, provide live coverage transmitted from the rovers on Mars, and share ongoing research toward future missions.

Although NASA Ames Research Center is not posting a solicitation for procurement of goods or services, it intends to partner or collaborate with interested parties under a “Space Act Agreement” (under the authority of Section 203(c) of the “Space Act,” 42 U.S.C. ?2473(c), and NASA Procedures and Guidelines 1050.1). Our vision is to create a Visitor Center with the most up-to-date and innovative equipment to share our current and future discoveries and to give recognition to all participating companies who help develop the displays and exhibits in this Visitor Center.

All interested parties are invited to submit a written description of how they might support this activity, primarily in the area of plasma and immersion projection screens, audio-visual equipment, and support to a children’s engagement area. Responses should be submitted electronically to Bonnie.P.Dalton@nasa.gov by Wednesday, October 8, 2003 at 5:00pm (PST).

If you timely submit a written description, you may be contacted and invited to meet to discuss further your ideas. Questions should be directed to Bonnie Dalton Deputy Director of Astrobiology and Space Research Phone Number (650) 604-6188
