NOTE: This issue includes papers from the workshop “Models for Evaluation of Radiation Risk Factors,” which took place in Houston, Texas, November 12-15, 2000. The workshop reviewed radiation risk models to identify critical parameters and focus areas for predicting the risk to humans from ionizing radiation, with a goal of planning safer space travel, as well as radiation protection on Earth. Seven NASA-supported papers from this issue are listed below; selected papers are listed in the “other papers of interest” section.
