**** STRONG RADIO BLACKOUTS CONTINUE ****

Another strong radio blackout (category R3 on the NOAA Space Weather Scale) occurred today at 9:53 a.m. MDT as a
consequence of a major solar flare. This was the latest in a series of major solar flares produced by a large, complex sunspot
group currently moving across the visible face of the Sun. The sunspot group, referred to by NOAA space weather forecasters
as Region 9026, is likely to produce more strong radio blackouts and additional space weather storms before it moves to the far
side of the Sun on June 14.

NOAA space weather forecasters predict that a strong (category G3) geomagnetic storm will occur during June 8 – 9 following
the major flare and coronal mass ejection (CME) that occurred at 9:25 a.m. MDT on June 6.
