**** SPACE WEATHER OUTLOOK ****

Summary For March 11-17

Space weather was at minor to moderate levels. Isolated category R1
(minor) radio blackouts occurred during most days due to moderate-sized
solar flares. Space weather increased to moderate levels on March 14 by
virtue of a category R2 (moderate) radio blackout at 6:50 p.m. MST
(2002 March 14 0150 UTC) due to a major solar flare. NOAA GOES
spacecraft detected a brief category S1 (minor) solar radiation storm
on March 17. For a list of adverse system effects related to space

Outlook For March 20-26

Space weather is expected to be at minor levels. Isolated category R1
(minor) radio blackouts are expected during the period. There is a
chance for a category G1 (minor) geomagnetic storm on March 20. There
is a chance for a category S1 (minor) solar radiation storm early in
the period
