Wednesday’s activities for the Expedition Seven crew aboard the International Space Station included participation and preparation for an upcoming blood test. Commander Yuri Malenchenko and NASA ISS Science Officer Ed Lu took part in a medical assessment that occurs every 30 days. Lu also set up equipment for a blood exam that is slated for Thursday.

In other news, Malenchenko replaced a faulty battery in the Zvezda Service Module and monitored the progress of a Russian plant growth experiment. Also, both crewmembers practiced getting into and out of the U.S. Extra-Vehicular Mobility Units, which are suits used during spacewalks.
