MISSION: STS-97 – 6th ISS Flight (4A) – PV Module P6

VEHICLE: Endeavour/OV-105

LOCATION: Launch Pad 39B

TARGET KSC LAUNCH DATE/TIME: Nov. 30, 2000 at 10:05 p.m.

TARGET KSC LANDING DATE/TIME: Dec.10, 2000 at 6:46 p.m.

LAUNCH WINDOW: less than 5 minutes

MISSION DURATION: 9 days, 20 hours and 41 minutes

CREW: Jett, Bloomfield, Tanner, Noriega, Garneau

ORBITAL ALTITUDE and INCLINATION: 177 nautical miles/51.6 degrees

Shuttle Processing Note: At the launch pad, workers completed the Shuttle
main engine Flight Readiness Test. Over the weekend, Endeavour’s three
auxiliary power units were successfully hot fired. Solid rocket booster
frequency response test activities are complete as well. The Shuttle’s
helium signature leak test is ongoing, and preparations to load the
orbiter’s onboard hypergolic storage tanks are under way.

The STS-97 flight crew arrived at KSC today to participate in standard
Terminal Countdown Demonstration Test activities this week. The launch day
dress rehearsal with the crew is slated for Nov. 8 and culminates with a
simulated main engine cutoff and emergency crew egress.

ORBITAL ALTITUDE and INCLINATION: 177 nautical miles/51.6 degrees

Shuttle Processing Note: Technicians have complete efforts to reconfigure
Atlantis’ payload bay for the upcoming flight. Today, workers are
installing the Shuttle’s three main engines. The payload premate test is
scheduled to occur tomorrow. Orbiter window No. 8 is being replaced and
technicians are installing the wireless video modification.

LOCATION: Orbiter Processing Facility (OPF) bay 1

TARGET KSC LAUNCH DATE/TIME: Feb.15, 2001 at 4:24 p.m. EDT (under review)

TARGET KSC LANDING DATE/TIME: Feb. 26, 2001 at 11:44 a.m.

MISSION DURATION: 11 days

ORBITAL ALTITUDE and INCLINATION: 177 nautical miles/51.6 degrees

Shuttle Processing Note: Following a successful landing of the Shuttle
Carrier Aircraft on Friday afternoon, Orbiter Discovery was demated from the
modified Boeing 747 and towed to the Orbiter Processing Facility Saturday
afternoon. The orbiter’s payload bay doors are open and workers are
removing the Imax 3-D camera so that it can be turned around for use on
STS-97. Today, the orbiter’s tail cone is being removed and power system
validation is scheduled to occur.
