MISSION: STS-106 — 4th ISS Flight (2A.2b)

  • TARGET KSC LANDING DATE/TIME: Sept. 19, 2000 at time TBD

  • MISSION DURATION: 11 days
  • CREW: Wilcutt, Altman, Lu, Malenchenko, Morukov, Mastracchio, Burbank
  • ORBITAL ALTITUDE and INCLINATION: 177 nautical miles/51.6 degrees

Shuttle Processing Note: Orbiter post-flight system inspections and deservicing conclude this
week, while tile inspection and repair will continue for about two weeks. Yesterday, technicians
finished draining cryogenic reactants from the orbiterís power reactant storage and distribution
system. Workers today began setting up orbiter access platforms, and are scheduled to open
the payload bay doors this afternoon. Payload removal efforts begin Friday. Managers plan to
remove Atlantisí three main engines late next week.


MISSION: STS-92 — 5th ISS Flight (3A) — Z-1 Truss, PMA-3

Shuttle Processing Note: Discoveryís main engine heat shield installation continues.
Hydraulic checks on the left inboard elevon actuator are scheduled for this week. In the Vehicle
Assembly Building, booster stacking operations are expected to resume later this week with the
right-hand solid rocket booster segments.


MISSION: STS-97 — 6th ISS Flight (4A) — PV Module P6

  • VEHICLE: Endeavour/OV-105
  • LOCATION: OPF bay 2
  • TARGET KSC LAUNCH DATE/TIME: Nov. 30, 2000 at time TBD (under review)
  • TARGET KSC LANDING DATE/TIME: Dec. 9, 2000 at time TBD
  • MISSION DURATION: 9 days
  • CREW: Jett, Bloomfield, Tanner, Noriega, Garneau

Shuttle Processing Note: Workers have completed feed-line disconnects in preparation for
the right-hand orbiter maneuvering system engine replacement. The wireless video system
modification is in progress, and robot arm installation is in work.
