VEHICLE: Discovery/OV-103

LOCATION: Launch Pad 39A

TARGET KSC LAUNCH DATE/TIME: Oct. 5, 2000 at about 9:38 p.m. EDT

TARGET KSC LANDING DATE/TIME: Oct. 16, 2000 at about 5 p.m.

MISSION DURATION: 11 days

CREW: Duffy, Melroy, Wakata, Chiao, Wisoff, Lopez-Alegria, McArthur

ORBITAL ALTITUDE and INCLINATION: 177 nautical miles/51.6 degrees

Shuttle Processing Note: Prelaunch processing of Shuttle Discovery continues
to go well at Launch Pad 39A. Engineers performed another Helium Signature
Test earlier today and confirmed that leak repair efforts on the orbiter’s
main propulsion system were successful. Orbiter aft compartment closeouts
are now in work. Main engine flight readiness testing begins tomorrow
evening. Preparations are also beginning for Shuttle ordnance installation
on Thursday.

Space Shuttle main engine flight readiness test begins – Sept. 27

Ordnance installation complete – Sept. 28

Flight Readiness Review – Sept. 28

MISSION: STS-97 – 6th ISS Flight (4A) – PV Module P6

VEHICLE: Endeavour/OV-105

LOCATION: OPF bay 2

TARGET KSC LAUNCH DATE/TIME: Nov. 30, 2000 at 10:48 p.m.

TARGET KSC LANDING DATE/TIME: Dec.10, 2000 at time TBD

MISSION DURATION: 10 days

CREW: Jett, Bloomfield, Tanner, Noriega, Garneau

ORBITAL ALTITUDE and INCLINATION: 177 nautical miles/51.6 degrees

Shuttle Processing Note: Endeavour’s main propulsion system leak checks are
complete. Technicians completed functional tests of the orbiter’s external
tank umbilical doors yesterday.
Main engine heat shield installation continues and the payload bay is
undergoing routine close-out work.

MISSION: STS-98 – 7th ISS Flight (5A) – U.S. Laboratory

VEHICLE: Atlantis/OV-104

LOCATION: Orbiter Processing Facility (OPF) bay 3

TARGET KSC LAUNCH DATE/TIME: Jan.18, 2001 at 3:36 a.m. EDT

TARGET KSC LANDING DATE/TIME: Jan. 28, 2001

MISSION DURATION: 10 days

CREW: Cockrell, Polansky, Curbeam, Jones, Ivins

ORBITAL ALTITUDE and INCLINATION: 173 nautical miles/51.6 degrees

Shuttle Processing Note: The STS-106 payload is being removed today and
engine heat shield removal efforts are under way. Technicians will removal
the Shuttle’s main engine beginning Thursday.
