Shuttle Processing Note: Yesterday, technicians removed fuel cell No. 3 and installation of the new fuel cell began today. Workers also completed functional tests of Atlantis’ external tank umbilical doors. Over the weekend, the orbiter docking system will undergo pyrotechnic system checks, and fuel cell voltage testing is planned. Orbiter main propulsion system testing continues through next week.

Shuttle Processing Note: Today, technicians are pressurizing Discovery’s auxiliary power unit tanks in preparation for a flex hose replacement. Main engine foam installation concludes this afternoon. Next week, workers will checkout the orbiter’s forward reaction control system. Standard wire inspections resume Monday in the orbiter’s aft compartment. Orbiter communication system checks are scheduled for Wednesday.

Shuttle Processing Note: Orbiter electrical work continues on schedule with replacement of power control assembly No. 3 completed yesterday, and the wireless video modification in work. Today, Endeavour’s robot arm will be moved to the vertical and powered up testing is slated for Monday. Arm removal is planned for Wednesday.
