date and most likely will not officially address it until after the
Christmas holidays. A new launch date is not expected to be later by more
than a few days.

The assessment of necessary solid rocket booster cable work to be done
before rollout continues.

Meanwhile, in the Space Station Processing Facility, the U.S. Laboratory
Destiny is scheduled for a weight and center of gravity determination on
Thursday and will then be installed into the payload transportation canister
on Friday. It will dwell in the SSPF over the Christmas holidays and be
taken to the launch pad on or about Jan. 2.

The low temperature at KSC last night was 30 degrees but it is not expected
to be sub-freezing again tonight.

No further status reports will be issued until after the Christmas holiday
period. Should there be further developments during that time, the KSC
codaphone will be updated with status and may be dialed at 867-2525.
