Work in progress: Today, Shuttle managers confirmed Jan. 31 as Endeavour’s
target launch date with the Eastern Range. Processing at the launch pad
continues on schedule while the flight crew proceeds with orbiter and
payload familiarization activities.
Last night, workers completed orbiter cavity purge efforts in preparation
for tomorrow’s launch day dress rehearsal with the flight crew. Terminal
Countdown Demonstration Test activities will conclude tomorrow at about
11:30 a.m. and the six member flight crew will depart KSC’s Shuttle Landing
Facility for Houston, TX, at about 2:35 p.m. Friday. Orbiter aft
compartment close-outs are under way and will conclude next week. Saturday,
engineers will begin loading Endeavour’s on board storage tanks will fuel.

Work in progress: Wiring inspections and repairs continue in Atlantis’
midbody and aft compartments. Functional testing of the orbiter maneuvering
system pod continues, and servicing of freon coolant loop No. 2 is under
way. Main landing gear wheel and tire assembly installation began today and
concludes tomorrow.
