Shuttle Processing Note: Over the weekend, work on the Atlantis’ left-hand
umbilical door concluded and final door cycling tests occur today. The
orbiter’s aft and midbody compartments have been closed-out, and payload bay
door closure is complete. Preparation to transfer Atlantis to the Vehicle
Assembly Building is underway.
Tonight, workers begin weight and center of gravity tests. Atlantis will be
mounted on the orbiter transport system tomorrow and then rolled over to the
VAB Tuesday afternoon. Once in the VAB, Atlantis will be lifted into high
bay 1 and mated to the external tank and solid rocket boosters.
The Space Station Airlock, the primary payload for STS-104, will be
delivered to the pad’s payload changeout room tonight.

Shuttle Processing Note: Last Saturday, the flight crew completed the
standard crew equipment interface test here at KSC. Discovery’s main engine
and main propulsion system have passed routine leak checks and main engine
heat shield installation is in work. This week, the orbiter’s water spray
boilers are undergoing checks along with servicing of Discovery’s potable
water system.

Shuttle Processing Note: Post flight inspections of Endeavour’s main
propulsion system are complete. Forward reaction control system checks are
on going, and engine heat shield removal is in work. Managers plan to
remove Endeavour’s main engines this week.

Shuttle Processing Note: Columbia is being stored in VAB high bay 4 until
Atlantis moves to the VAB to be mated to the STS-104 external tank and solid
rocket boosters. Columbia will then be transferred into OPF bay 3 to
continue STS-109 preflight processing.
