ORBITAL INSERTION ALTITUDE and INCLINATION: 308 nautical miles/28.5 degrees

Shuttle Processing Note: Final preparations are underway for the rollover of Shuttle Columbia from its Orbiter Processing Facility (OPF) bay to the Vehicle Assembly Building for space vehicle mate on Wednesday. Aft closeouts were completed over the weekend and forward closeouts are being worked. The Orbiter will be jacked down for weight and balance and center of gravity checks tomorrow.

MISSION: STS-110 – 13th ISS Flight (8A) – ITS SO TRUSS AND MOBILE TRANSPORTER

VEHICLE: Atlantis/OV-104

TARGET KSC LAUNCH DATE: NET April 4, 2002

TARGET KSC LANDING DATE: April 15, 2002

MISSION DURATION: 11 days

CREW: Bloomfield, Frick, Ross, Smith, Ochoa, Morin, Walheim

ORBITAL INSERTION ALTITUDE and INCLINATION: 122 nautical miles/51.6 degrees

Shuttle Processing Note: The Space Shuttle Main Engines will be installed on Orbiter Atlantis in the OPF today. Removal of the left hand Orbiter Maneuvering System (OMS) pod to inspect the status of attach point No. 5 has been delayed because of additional requirements to verify the weight of the OMS propellants onboard before proceeding with removal operations. Subsystem checkouts are in progress.

MISSION: STS-111 – 14th ISS flight (UF2) – MPLM

VEHICLE: Endeavour/OV-105

TARGET LAUNCH DATE: May 2, 2002

TARGET KSC LANDING DATE: May 13, 2002

CREW: Cockrell, Lockhart, Chang-Diaz, Perrin; (ISS up) Korzun, Whitson, Treschev; (ISS down) Onufrienko, Bursch, Walz

ORBITAL INSERTION ALTITUDE and INCLINATION: 122 nautical miles/51.6 degrees

Shuttle Processing Note: The Forward Reaction Control System (FRCS) has been removed from Shuttle Endeavour in the OPF to replace and retest a forward firing thruster that failed off during the recently completed STS-108 mission. Preparation work is underway for removal of the heat shields and main engines next week.

Shuttle Processing Note: Orbiter Discovery is in temporary storage in a high bay of the Vehicle Assembly Building awaiting a decision by Shuttle managers on the content, schedule and location for the structural inspection and modification down period. Discovery is scheduled to return to the OPF later this month.
