Description
Sources Sought: NASA is seeking information on capabilities from small, small disadvantaged and women-owned small businesses for the purpose of determining the appropriate level of small business subcontracting goals for this requirement. Interested companies are requested to provide a brief capability statement (electronic response in Microsoft Word format, 3 page maximum including summary page) via e-mail (as a virus-free email attachment) to the Contracting Officer’s email address specified below. Your response is requested by April 7, 2003. To facilitate a prompt review by NASA, a one (1) page summary shall be included with your capability statement, which identifies your company’s specific capabilities that are relevant to the requirement as described in the draft statement of work (SOW) that has been posted on the NAIS. Companies are also requested to provide, on the summary page: company name, address, point of contact, average annual revenue for the past 3 years, number of employees, and Government size/type classification (i.e., small, small disadvantaged, HUBZone, Women-Owned Small Business, Veteran-Owned Small Business, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, and/or a Historically Black College and Universities/Minority Institution). It is insufficient to provide only general, brochure-type or generic information. Copies of company capability statements may be made available to SSDOO Prime Contract competitors in the future, and should therefore not contain company-sensitive information. This request for information is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for the information submitted in response. Respondents will not be notified of the results. An ombudsman has been appointed — See NASA Specific Note “B”. The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will be in Microsoft Office 97 format and will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application. The Internet site, or URL, for the NASA/GSFC Business Opportunities home page is http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?group=C&pin=51 It is the offeror’s responsibility to monitor the Internet cite for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments, if any.
