Space Product Development Weekly Highlights – September 11, 2002

Solidification Design Center – Industrial Advisory Committee Meeting: Auburn University’s Solidification Design Center hosted a meeting on September 5, 2002 of the SDC Industrial Advisory Committee, which included 13 industry executives involved in manufacturing/metal casting. The companies’ manufacturing plants employ 8000 people in Alabama and Georgia alone, and produce annual sales of approximately $1,000,000,000 from these two states. Discussions and tours included industry technical projects of the Solidification Design Center and associated educational activities in the College of Engineering.
