Space Product Development Weekly Highlights – October 8, 2002

STS-112 Space Product Development Payloads Status: The Commercial Generic Bioprocessing Apparatus (CGBA) and Plant Growth Bioprocessing Apparatus (PGBA) payloads were successfully handed over to the Kennedy Space Center for installation into the orbiter on Sunday afternoon.

Both payloads were operating nominally during the first status check of the 9A mission. Brief daily updates will be sent out for the initial part of the mission until they are transferred to the International Space Station. At that time, updates will be provided weekly.

The PGBA transfer is set to occur on the fifth flight day (at MET 5/18:15), and the CGBA will be transferred at two days later (at MET 7:21:00).
