National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Exploration Systems Mission Directorate (ESMD) This announcement serves as a notification for the upcoming 1st American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) Space Exploration Conference. During this conference, NASA will present an overview of the Agency’s response, status, and plans to implement the Vision for Space Exploration.    

The Space Exploration Conference will be conducted on January 30, 2005 thru February 1, 2005, at Disney’s Contemporary Resort in Orlando, Florida. RADM Craig E. Steidle (Ret.), NASA HQ, ESMD, Associate Administrator serves as the Conference Chair, while Dr. Michael F. Lembeck, NASA HQ, ESMD Director of Requirements serves as the Program Co-Chair.    

Discussion panel sessions will include overviews of the management and program strategies for the Vision by senior-level NASA officials.    

Topics will build on the importance of the Vision for the world?s space programs and the advance of human exploration as well as the persistent need for partaking in the voyage of discovery.    

This announcement is not intended to be a call for papers for this particular event.
