Replay: 16 April 10:45 -11:00 GMT
An international conference on Space Debris is hosted by ESA, 18-20 April, at ESA’s Space Operations Centre (ESOC) in Darmstadt, Germany.
Space debris has recently been attracting increasing attention not only due to the growing recognition of the long-term need to protect the commercially valuable low-Earth and geosynchronous orbital zones (LEO and GEO), but also due to the direct threat that existing debris poses to current and future missions.
This Exchange includes new 3-D graphics on space debris, images of debris hit objects returned from space, plus soundbites by an ESA expert.
The Programme is made of an A-roll (split audio, English) of five minutes plus a B-roll with clean international sound.
The script will be on-line shortly as a PDF document under http://television.esa.int
