SOHO Offpoint Manoeuvre

From about 18-22 UT (1pm-5pm EST) today, the SOHO spacecraft will be performing an offpointing manoeuvre to aid some of its instruments
(EIT and MDI) in perfecting their calibration. So don’t be alarmed if the Sun appears to move away from it’s usual position in the SOHO realtime
images – it’s all planned. LASCO will close their doors during the manoeuvre to avoid exposing their detectors to direct sunlight.
