ANNOUNCEMENTS

* HESSI target for today is AR 9880, tomorrow’s target is AR 9880

* There will be maintenance work done on sohoftp.nascom.nasa.gov
starting this morning. Very likely, this will produce some
service outages. It is expected to be back to normal before
Monday morning, April 1.

* PMI contractors are scheduled to perform preventive maintenance
on the 3UPS-20 today from 9:00 am until 4:30 pm. The UPS unit will
be in bypass and the load will be on commercial power
during this activity. No impact to operations is expected. 3UPS-20
supports SOHO, W/P, and XTE missions.

* Goddard phone voice mail will be down on Saturday from
6am-noon. If you need to leave a message for the SOC at
this time, send email and try calling back after noon.

INSTRUMENT STATUS

CDS: Nominal. AR studies on AR9880 then sunspot studies on
AR9878. Weekend: usual weekend studies and CME onset
pointing at AR 9880 on Sunday.

UVCS: Nominal. Coronal hole/streamer interface study and
mini-synoptic. Weekend: HESSI support on AR9880 and
mini-synoptic.

LASCO: Nominal. C2/C3 synoptics, high cadence pB sequences during
the EIT bakeout.

EIT: Nominal. 195 Angstrom CME watch and synoptics. Bakeout begins
at 23 UT Friday.

MDI: Nominal. Full disk magnetograms and dopplergrams for
continuous contact.

TRACE: Nominal. Observe AR 9878 and full disk mosaic during EIT
bakeout.
