(SMART-NAS) for Safe Trajectory Based Operations Project

Amendment 10 to the NASA ARMD Research Opportunities in Aeronautics (ROA) 2015 NRA has been posted on the NSPIRES web site at http://nspires.nasaprs.com.

This release includes the following 4 subtopics in Appendix B.3. The SMART-NAS for Safe TBO Project consists of four sub-projects. One of the sub-projects is focused on exploring and developing technologies, concepts and models for completing and transitioning air traffic management operations beyond NextGen, while the remaining three sub-projects are focused on developing the tools and capabilities needed for enabling and testing these advanced concepts. For reference, the sub-project developing the concepts and models is Trajectory Based Operations with an initial New York focus. The three sub-projects developing the tools and capabilities to test these concepts are the SMART-NAS Test Bed, System Assurance Technologies and Real-time Safety Modeling.

NOIs are due December 15, 2015 and proposals are due January 15, 2016.
