Six Weeks Remaining for TRISH Postdoctoral Scientist Fellowship Applications
HOUSTON – (December 16, 2020) – There are 6 weeks left in the response period for Translational Research Institute for Space Health (TRISH) Postdoctoral Fellowship Applications. TRISH is headquartered at Baylor College of Medicine and funds transformative research and technologies to enhance astronaut physical and mental wellness during deep space exploration missions.
TRISH is requesting proposals from the nation’s promising postdoctoral fellows performing research related to human spaceflight. Selected fellows will receive a stipend for salary support, an allowance for health insurance and funds for travel to related scientific meetings.
Applicants must submit research proposals together with an identified mentor and institution. Funds to support the research must be supplied by the mentor. A list is for prospective mentors who have not yet identified a postdoctoral candidate for this opportunity is posted alongside the solicitation. Selecting a Principal Investigator from this list is not a requirement for responding to the solicitation. This list is solely to advertise prospective mentors who are seeking postdoctoral candidates.

As a partner to the NASA Human Research Program, the Translational Research Institute for Space Health helps solve the health challenges to human deep space exploration. The Institute finds and funds disruptive, breakthrough research and technologies that can reduce risks to astronaut health and performance. The Institute is funded through a cooperative agreement with NASA to Baylor College of Medicine and includes consortium partners Caltech and MIT.
