SIMBA Centrifuge Study Tissues Coming Soon
This SIMBA (Spaceflight Impacts Microbiome-Brain Axis) centrifuge study was completed on September 23. This hypergravity investigation used the NASA Ames Research Center 1.22-meter radius centrifuge. The Space Biology Biospecimen Sharing Program (BSP) Team collected tissues not utilized by the SIMBA study and turned over the samples to NBISC at the end of the week-long dissections.
These tissues (brown adipose tissues, eye, forelimbs, hindlimbs, kidneys, pancreas, reproductive tract, skin, thymus, and white adipose tissue) will be available for request the Life Sciences Data Archive (LSDA) biospecimen portal soon!
For more information about available tissues, or to request tissues visit the Life Sciences Data Archive (LSDA) biospecimen portal for request by the science community.
